HMRC breaks out crypto gains for the first time: 17,600 taxpayers, £1.38bn, and 240 people holding half of it
HMRC's first standalone crypto figures show 17,600 UK taxpayers declared £1.38bn in taxable gains for the year to 5 April 2025, with 240 people accounting for £717m of it.
