Rarible switches on Solana support, starting with a single collection

Rarible said on August 6 it has opened its NFT marketplace to Solana, launching with Claynosaurz as the first featured collection and no disclosed fee terms.

Rarible said on Wednesday that its NFT marketplace is now live on Solana, with the Claynosaurz PFP collection as the first listed project. The company announced it at 14:16 UTC on August 6 in a post on X, and Solana's official account amplified it seven minutes later with a "JUST IN" framing.

Both posts are the companies' own announcements — Rarible's is a product launch thread, and Solana's is a promotion of an integration on its own chain. Neither is independent reporting, and both should be read as marketing.

What Rarible actually disclosed is thin. The thread says the team has "been working on Solana for months," that it consulted Solana NFT communities during development, and that additional collections will be onboarded "over the coming days and weeks." It points users to rarible.com/solana. Rarible also framed its earlier "Gacha Station" launch on Solana as an advance signal of the full marketplace rollout.

What it did not disclose: marketplace fees, creator royalty enforcement policy, which wallets or aggregators are supported, how many collections are queued, or any timeline beyond "days and weeks." No trading volume, listing count, or user figures were given for the launch. Rarible did not name Magic Eden, Tensor, or any other incumbent Solana venue.

Key facts

  • Rarible announced Solana marketplace support at 14:16 UTC, August 6, 2026, via its own X account (@rarible, mirrored on Nitter).
  • Solana's official account (@solana) reposted the announcement at 14:23 UTC — the amplification is from an interested party.
  • Claynosaurz is the first featured collection, per Rarible's announcement.
  • Rarible directed users to rarible.com/solana (Rarible's own post).
  • Rarible cited a prior "Gacha Station" launch on Solana as a precursor (Rarible's own post).
  • Solana's repost showed 37 replies, 17 reposts, 95 likes and 29,022 views in the roughly 20 minutes after posting — a snapshot from the Nitter mirror, not a final tally.

The real-world read

The announcement is almost entirely qualitative. Rarible's thread runs several hundred words on community listening, culture and "writing the next chapter," and contains no number at all — not a fee, not a collection count, not a launch-day volume. When a marketplace launch ships without a single metric, the metric is usually not the selling point.

One collection is not an ecosystem. "Live on Solana" currently means one featured PFP project with more promised on an unspecified schedule.

The reply thread under Solana's post is worth noting as unverified sentiment, not evidence: @damn_then wrote that such integrations "rarely move volume much," @NenitoCrypto said "Solana NFT liquidity is the real test," and @Maddere7 argued in Chinese that Tensor and Magic Eden have already saturated the market and recalled a Claynosaurz floor above 10 SOL. None of those claims — including the floor price — are corroborated by any primary source here, and Rarible offered no competitive or liquidity data to rebut them.

Opinion, and whose

  • Rarible (company): the launch is "only the foundation" of a broader marketplace evolution — a forward-looking claim from the company selling it, with no roadmap dates attached.
  • Solana (@solana): treats the integration as newsworthy for the chain. Solana benefits directly from more marketplace venues.
  • Retail replies (@damn_then, @NenitoCrypto, @Maddere7): skeptical on volume impact and competitive positioning. Anonymous accounts, no data offered.
