Binance Is Shutting Down Its Mining Business on Nov. 10

Binance will close Binance Pool, Cloud Mining, Pool Savings, and Transaction Accelerator on Nov. 10, 2026, ending its mining business as it pushes into AI tools and TradFi-linked derivatives.

Binance will discontinue its mining pool and a cluster of related services on Nov. 10 at 7:00 a.m. UTC, the exchange said in a notice on Tuesday, framing the move as part of "an ongoing review of its product suite." The Block reported the shutdown, citing Binance's own notice.

The closure covers Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, and the Transaction Accelerator. Supporting infrastructure goes dark at the same moment: Telegram hashrate alerts, email notifications, mining pool API services, and the Stratum URLs and endpoints miners use to connect. After the cutoff, Binance said, hashrate submissions and mining shares "will no longer be accepted, processed, or credited," entry points will close, and no further rewards or yield will accrue.

Binance told users to point their mining equipment at another pool before the deadline and to redeem or unsubscribe from active Pool Savings positions. Outstanding rewards, refunds, and settlements will be processed under each product's terms, "subject to account status, compliance checks, and other requirements" — language that stops short of guaranteeing timing. The Binance Pool pages stay readable for 14 days, until Nov. 24 at 7:00 a.m. UTC, for historical data and payout status, after which they become permanently inaccessible.

The wind-down lands as Binance pushes in the opposite direction — toward traditional-finance products. Last month it announced plans to offer physically settled options on more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs through Nest Trading, its Abu Dhabi Global Market–regulated broker-dealer. On Monday it rolled out an AI-powered trading interface to global English-language users after a beta involving roughly 150,000 participants.

Key facts

  • Shutdown date: Nov. 10, 2026, 7:00 a.m. UTC (Binance notice, via The Block).
  • Services affected: Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, Transaction Accelerator, plus Telegram alerts, email notifications, API services, and Stratum endpoints (Binance notice).
  • Historical pages accessible until Nov. 24, 2026, 7:00 a.m. UTC, then permanently removed (Binance notice).
  • Binance's TradFi perpetual futures volume: $433.4 billion in August, up from $29.5 billion in January — figures from Binance (via The Block).
  • AI trading interface beta: ~150,000 users before Monday's wider rollout (The Block).

The real-world read

Binance is calling this a routine "review," but the direction is clear enough: it is retiring a legacy, low-margin mining franchise while leaning into stock options and AI-branded trading. The $433.4 billion August futures figure is Binance's own number for its own product — a marketing data point touting growth, not independently verified volume, and it should be read as such. Also unsaid: no explanation of why the mining unit is being cut, no user counts for the affected products, and no firm timeline on when pending rewards and refunds actually get paid out, only that settlements are "subject to" compliance checks. Miners relying on Pool Savings yield have under a month to unwind.

Opinion, and whose

Binance frames the shutdown as product housekeeping; no outside analyst take appears in the reporting at hand. Any read of this as a strategic pivot from mining toward TradFi is inference, not a claim Binance has made.
