Binance adds options on 1,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, citing a jump in TradFi derivatives volume

Binance is launching physically settled options on more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs for non-U.S. customers, routed through an Abu Dhabi broker to Alpaca Securities, as its self-reported TradFi perpetual volume climbs.

Binance is adding physically settled options on more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds, extending a push into traditional-finance products that began earlier this year. The Block reported the launch on Sept. 1, citing a statement Binance shared with the outlet.

The mechanics: the options are offered through Nest Trading Limited, Binance's broker-dealer regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market, which acts as introducing broker and routes orders to U.S.-registered Alpaca Securities for execution, clearing, settlement, and custody. Contracts are physically settled — on exercise, users receive or deliver the underlying shares, held by Alpaca on behalf of Binance users. Eligible retail users can buy calls and puts, with losses capped at the premium paid. The products are not available to U.S. users, per the Binance statement. Binance says it expects to list more stock options over time.

The move builds on Binance's June rollout of trading in more than 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs for customers outside the U.S., alongside its bStocks tokenized securities and equity-linked perpetual futures.

Binance framed the launch against rising demand for TradFi-linked derivatives. It said TradFi perpetual futures volume on its platform reached roughly $433.4 billion in August — about 15 times January's $29.5 billion — with equity-linked perpetuals making up about 79%, or $342.9 billion, up from $410.9 million in January. All of those figures come from Binance itself.

The timing is competitive. Bybit is set to launch 24/7 options on stock perpetuals on Sept. 17, starting with SpaceX and Nvidia; unlike Binance's physically settled contracts on real U.S. securities, Bybit's are tied to stock perpetuals and settle in USDT.

Key facts

  • Options on 1,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, physically settled, for non-U.S. users — Binance statement via The Block (Sept. 1, 2026).
  • Structure: Nest Trading Limited (ADGM-regulated) as introducing broker → Alpaca Securities for execution, clearing, settlement, custody — The Block.
  • Follows June rollout of 7,000+ U.S. stocks/ETFs to non-U.S. customers — The Block.
  • TradFi perpetual volume ~$433.4B in August vs. $29.5B in January; equity-linked perps ~79% ($342.9B vs. $410.9M) — figures per Binance.
  • Bybit launching 24/7 stock-perp options Sept. 17 (SpaceX, Nvidia), USDT-settled — The Block.

The real-world read

Every headline volume number here — the $433.4 billion, the "15 times," the 79% equity-linked share — is Binance's own, unaudited and self-reported to promote a product it's launching. Treat the growth story as a marketing claim until an independent tally confirms it. The $410.9 million-to-$342.9 billion equity-perp jump is a startling multiple that's easy to state and hard to verify; no third party corroborates it here.

Note also the geography: these are options on U.S. equities, cleared through a U.S. broker, but explicitly walled off from U.S. users — a structure that lets Binance offer American securities exposure while sidestepping the American regulator. Disclosure: The Block's majority investor is Foresight Ventures, whose anchor LP includes exchange Bitget, a Binance competitor.
